Default MSSQL DBmanager ( Database Manager ) - Resellers

Dear Resellers,

Webhosting.NET has added functionality for users to be able to backup and restore Microsoft SQL Databases. The tools are located here:

MSSQL 2000: http://mssql.whsecure.net/DBManager/
MSSQL 2005: http://mssql2005.whsecure.net/dbmanager/

Please report any problems to support@webhosting.net, or by opening up a support ticket from inside your control panel.

If you have any comments please post them in this thread.

Many thanks,

Default MSSQL Remote Access

For MSSQL 2000 ( Microsoft SQL 2000 ) remote access to databases is by Enterprise Manager which is not free, but is included on the MSSQL 2000 CD.

There is a tool in your control panel for web access to MSSQL 2000, but it's "flaky" ie. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. We are looking at implementing the following software in our DBmanager for easy access to MSSQL 2000:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=c039a798-c57a-419e-acbc-2a332cb7f959&displaylang=en

For MSSQL 2005 ( Microsoft SQL 2005 ) remote access to databases is by "Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio" which you can down here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en

You will also have this program if you have ever downloaded MSSQL 2005 Express from here:

The EMS SQL Manager 2008 Lite is also a great tool for managing databases:
